Blue swimming crab spawner (Portunus pelagicus) used in the study, caught in the coastal area of Barangay Bocana, Ilog, Negros Occidental, Philippines. The net cage system with a floating bamboo frame, where the polyvinyl chloride cage frame holds the net cage for spawning of the blue swimming crab. The net cage is tied to the polyvinyl chloride pipe frame for individual blue swimming crab spawners, demonstrating the construction for isolated rearing. Egg development stages of the blue swimming crab spawners, visually categorized by color: Stage 1 (yellow or orange-yellowish), Stage 2 (brown), and Stage 3 (black-grey or black).
